Have you ever gotten lost in a grocery store? Aisles and aisles of frozen pizzas, chips, cereal, spaghetti, and peanut butter all seem to blend together, and before you know it, you’ve been in every aisle 3 different times and still haven’t found the one item you came looking for!

Well, have no fear, our series of Grocery Store Secrets will take you behind the scenes and give you all the tips you need to become a grocery store master.

First up is a little trick we like to call ‘The Racetrack’. Race car drivers spend all their time going around the perimeter of the track, so take a hint from them and treat the grocery store like a speedway. Many of the healthiest options - fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fish, eggs, and low-fat dairy - are found on the perimeter of the grocery store. Instead of going up and down each aisle, you can save time and eat healthier by making one big loop around the store! Keep an eye out for fruits and vegetables that are in season and always make sure to check the dates to get the freshest products possible!

Have fun racing around the perimeter on your next trip to the grocery store as you speed towards a healthier, more efficient grocery experience.
