Charlotte Cole

Charlotte Cole is founder and executive director of Blue Butterfly Collaborative, an organization that uses children's media to advance international development aims.

Dr. Cole has over two and a half decades of experience in international development, applying her expertise in curriculum design, educational content creation, and research to large-scale educational media projects in more than thirty countries.

Prior to founding Blue Butterfly Collaborative, Dr. Cole was Senior Vice President of Global Education at Sesame Workshop in New York City, where she oversaw the education, research, and community engagement activities for the company's international co-productions of Sesame Street.

Dr. Cole received her doctorate in human development and psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research is published in peer-reviewed journals, and she is the co-editor of The Sesame Effect: The Global Impact of the Longest Street in the World.
